The African German Entrepreneurship Academy (AGEA) is an initiative developed by the International SEPT Program of Leipzig University in cooperation with its partners in Africa and Germany.
The aim is to promote entrepreneurship education and business incubator establishment in Africa as well as to establish practice oriented cooperation with start-ups and businesses. The AGEA in addition supports African oriented start-ups in Germany and provides necessary support needed by businesses which want to do business in Africa.
AGEA has been established to empower Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) in entrepreneurship promotion activities and business incubator establishment in Africa. It is also a platform to encourage sharing of knowledge among African HEIs and the private sector. This kind of knowledge sharing is done in collaboration with German universities and business associations (South – South knowledge transfer and North-South cooperation).
